Okay, okay…beat me with a stick.  I am finally updating this thing.  I haven’t updated in a while for two reasons…(1) I’ve been swamped and (2) I can’t get on the internet at work hardly anymore, so I can’t visit all of your blogs and it makes me less interested in blogging altogether because I feel like I’m kinda one sided.  But….here I go!

We have been getting in the spirit of fall around here.  I took LittleMan to the pumpkin patch (pictures on my photoblog   http://cuteboyphotos.blogspot.com ) and bought some pumpkins and a really cool green curly gourd.  I think I’m going to try to make a birdhouse out of it.  We went to a fall festival for the church a couple of weekends ago and LittleMan was dressed really cute as a cowboy and I put on overalls and a kinda country looking shirt to get into the spirit.  Well, no one else in my age group did even that, so I won the “costume” contest in my age group.  So I guess the overweight frazzled mom running after a toddler look is “in” this year.  Or maybe I looked really scary……hmm…….

Halloween in the Park is going to be tomorrow night in our tiny little town, so we are going to go to that with my friend and her little boy who is only a few weeks older than LittleMan.  It should be fun.  Then Trick or Treating on Monday afternoon.  He’s going to be a dragon!!  It’s a cute costume from the Children’s Place.

I’ve been keeping up with all my book reading lately too.  I finished the Ashley Smith story last weekend and it was a pretty good book.  I was skeptical, but really ended up enjoying it.  I have some Jane Green (I think that’s her name) books on hold at the library that should be in today, so I’m psyched about having them for the weekend.

I promised myself that I was going to do some super cleaning this weekend.  I started on it last night, but didn’t get very far.  Just one of the bathrooms, but that’s a start I guess!

Well, until  I update again (which hopefully won’t take this long)…Have a Great Weekend!!!

Melissa
Melissa-Mom to LittleMan (4/04); wife to LuckyHusband; full-time toxicologist; full-time housekeeper; full-time domestic laundromat manager (washes all the clothes); full-time domestic finance manager (pays all the bills and yells at husband for spending too much money on fishing stuff); and Keeper of the Cheerios. Lives in a tiny town; spends tons of time with family; reads; enjoys crafts. Can change a diaper, fill a sippy cup, and put on a toddler's shoes in 15.4 seconds flat, all while calculating the impact of petroleum hydrocarbons to a nearby surface water body (watch for me in the Toddler Olympics on CBS this fall). Addicted to Dr. Pepper; Kit Kats; and pasta. To spot me in a crowd: I'm the one with frizzy messed-up hair, smeared graham crackers on my shirt; huge purse with a diaper peeking out, toddler on her hip, and camera in hand at all times.
